Budapest is divided into two parts; Buda, on the west bank and Pest, on the east bank of the Danube River. Both sides are easily accessible by metro, tram, bus, and water taxi, and offer a world of charm, dining, and attractions. Budapest budget hotels and five-star luxury hotels can be found on both sides of the river. Older, more affordable hotels are predominantly in Buda, while modern high-end hotels are more likely to be found in Pest.
